Agriculture in Butler County

Agriculture in Butler County is more than farming.  It is agri-business processors such as Miller Brewery and Pierre Foods.  It is agri-tourism businesses such as Paintball Country, various farm markets, and corn maizes at several locations.

Agriculture includes all business that gets inputs to the farmers, all products marketed, transported, financed, processed, and retailed.  Agriculture is a career field that you may want to investigate.  Go to http://www.fb.org/today/class/careers.htm for a world of information on careers in the agriculture field.

Farming is still important to Butler County's economy even though many acres have been taken out of production in the last 30 years.
