BUTLER COUNTY SAFE COMMUNITIES COALITION

WHAT IS SAFE COMMUNITIES?
Butler County Safe Communities is a program developed to establish and/or expand partnerships to achieve safer, healthier communities throughout Butler County. In return, costs associated with injuries will be reduced.
"Unintentional injuries" are the number one killer of children and adults. They play a major part in the death of people of all ages. The Safe Communities program provides opportunities to reduce the number of motor vehicle crashes and injuries. Being aware of the problems and focusing on ways of preventing traffic crashes will benefit everyone.

Safe Communities provides safety education on the following: motor vehicles; pedestrian safety; bicycles, scooters, and skates; mature drivers; car seats and boosters; falls; helmets; burns and fire; farm and rural safety; home safety; infants and toddlers; poison; and water and boating safety.
