Program will cover Water Quality & Social License to Operate, Nutrient Practices for Yield and Water Quality, 4R Stewardship, Cost Share Programs, Voluntary vs. Regulatory Action. Sponsored by Ohio Livestock Coalition, Butler County Farm Bureau, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Ohio State Extension, Butler Soil and Water Conservation District and Natural Resources Conservation Services. Fee is $8.00 per person and includes lunch and program materials. Registration deadline is March 3, 2014.

Asian Longhorned Beetle Found in Ohio; OSU Extension Offers Information Hotline
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Agriculture today (6/17) announced the first discovery of Asian longhorned beetle (ALB) in Ohio. An exotic, invasive insect that kills maples and other trees, ALB was found in Bethel, Clermont County, in southwest Ohio.
