2008 Home Horticulture Series

Ohio State University Extension and the Butler County Master Gardeners are co-sponsoring valuable, low cost workshops for home gardeners. The classes are being taught by experts in their fields and will be a valuable asset to anyone wanting to improve and enhance their residential lawns and gardens.

The Home Horticulture Series will be held on consecutive Wednesday evenings beginning February 6, 2008 through March 5, 2008.  Each class will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. 

The Home Hort Series will be held at the Butler Technology and Career Development Schools, 3603 Hamilton Middletown Road, Hamilton.  The facility is easily accessible from Route 4 and is handicap accessible with plenty of free parking.

The cost of the series is $8.00 per session or $30.00 for all five sessions.  Seating is limited so early registration is encouraged.

The sessions to be covered include:

  • Tomatoes, Tomatoes, Tomatoes - Wednesday, February 6
  • New and Underused Perennials - Wednesday, February 13
  • Rain Gardening 101 - Wednesday, February 20
  • Pruning Your Trees and Shrubs - Wednesday, February 27
  • Better Lawns This Spring - Wednesday, March 5
