All educational services and programs originate from Ohio State University Extension and bring quality educational opportunities to our young people. Spending Time with Your Kids
I was having lunch with someone recently and they asked me what I like to do for fun. I stated that I just like being home with my family and during my quiet time in the mornings, I like to read and enjoy a good cup of coffee. I guess you could say that I am just a simple guy. I make my family a priority simply because in this day and time you can work every minute of the day. No matter where I travel people are scheduled to their wits end. Since school has ended and things have slowed down briefly I want to focus my article on the importance of creating quality family time during the summer.

Summer Safety
I had the pleasure of participating in the 14th Annual Fairfield Kiwanis Kids Safety Fair on May 11, 2013. My boys had a wonderful time at this event. Every day when I get home they tell me about something they learned at the safety fair. Simply by investing time with my boys they learned something in a very short time. Parents over the last few weeks I hope that you invested time in preparing your kids for summer break. By the time you read this article the school year will be over. This week I want to focus my article on summer safety for our youth.
