The 2017 Southwestern Ohio Specialty Crop Conference will be held February 7, 2017 at the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland, Ohio. The Oasis Conference Center is conveniently located about five miles off I-275 in the northeast corner of Cincinnati. This conference is sponsored by Ohio State University Extension and is organized by the Warren County Extension office.
The Southwestern Ohio Specialty Crop Conference offers five concurrent sessions with five classes to choose from during each session. Classes are mainly geared towards fruit and vegetable growers, but there is a little something for everyone. Classes are available on fruit and vegetable production, specialty cropping systems, pesticide safety, farm management, marketing and food safety.
Registration is required. No walk-ins will be accepted. The cost for the program is $50 and will include a continental breakfast, buffet lunch and a USB memory stick containing all of the available handouts from the conference. The registration deadline is February 3, 2017.
Private pesticide applicator credits are available for Core, 3 (Fruits & Vegetables) and 5 (Greenhouse).
