  3. Master Gardener Annual Plant Sale Cancelled

    Due to Ohio State University and State of Ohio policies and for the safety of our customers and members, we will not have our annual plant sale this year. We look forward to offering our same quality plant sale in May of 2021.

  4. Virtual Beginner Beekeeping Training Offered

    We appreciate your understanding about the cancellation of this year's Southwestern Ohio Beekeeper School due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To help fill at least a small part of the void for new beekeepers, we will be offering the first two sessions of the Beginner’s Beekeeping tract virtually. The tract will be available live online on March 28, 2020 beginning at 9 a.m. Preregistration is required to get access to the training. There is no charge for this virtual training.

  6. OSU Extension, Butler County Temporary Closure Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

    Governor DeWine recently issued a state of emergency and implemented a variety of strategies to reduce the spread of the COVID-19, Coronavirus. In order to do our part in reducing risk to our employees or clientele, Ohio State University Extension at the State Level has implemented a teleworking plan for all staff. All OSU Extension offices in the State of Ohio, including Butler County, will be closed to the public until further notice beginning at 4:30 PM, Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

  7. Hiring Two Student Assistants for Summer 2020!

    The Ohio State University Extension, Butler County is in search of 2 Student Assistants to work temporarily for the summer of 2020. The Student Assistants will work in the program areas of Agriculture & Natural Resources, Family & Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development & other areas as assigned. Skills Expected: Leadership experience, Strong Communication, Organizational Skills, Computer Skills, Self-Motivation, Enthusiastic & Demonstrate good people skills.
