Butler County 4-Shooting Sports Program

The 4-H Shooting Sports Program of Butler County promotes Youth Development through participation in the shooting disciplines. We offer Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Muzzleloader, Archery, Crossbow and Western Heritage, as well as Hunting and Wildlife, and Living History.

These differ from traditional 4-H projects in that they require a member to take the project under the direction of a shooting sports club that includes state certified shooting sports instructors. The program is open to youth ages 8-18 (some disciplines may have different age requirements or pre-requisites).

We also have a competitive Scholastic Steel Team—the Ohio Steel Stingers

There are two shooting sports clubs in Butler County and we are sure one will be the perfect fit for your family!

LIVING HISTORY
Do you like learning about history? 4-H has a great project that can make history come alive for you. Through this project, you create a persona. You determine the time and place your persona would have lived. From there you learn more about their life. You learn how they lived, what they would have worn, skills they would have developed, and many other topics. If you are interested, please send your infor- mation to bcss4Hclub@gmail.com.
